If you want the three levels that contain inaccessible Star Coins, they are: 2-Pyramid (level 12), 6-Secret (level 41), and 7-3 (level 45). If you want to get around this, simply edit some of the values of "data.ini". this version of the game is impossible to complete 100%. In other words, there may be, say, 2 "second" Star Coins in a level, which is the case with World 2-Pyramid.īecause of this. It turns out some of the Star Coins (3 out of the 300, as far as I'm aware) I managed to "mis-label". I may have accidentally made it so that some Star Coins are impossible to get. I've beaten this game, and it's great! I am trying to collect all of the Star Coins, but I'm stuck in World 2-Pyramid, I just can't find the 3rd Star Coin the normal dimension and I looked everywhere!ĭoes anyone know how to get this Star Coin? I'll give a full review whenever I beat the game. It's not perfect by any means, but it's a nice little throwback to the NES days when Nintendo was actually TRYING to be new and innovative. It's as if the Note Block has its own gravitational pull.Īside from these, though, the game is very fun to play. And if you try to bounce off and land next to it, you again get "sucked" back on. This was also present in past demo releases.īut one particular bug that drives me insane (and I think this was present in the original engine to begin with) is that if there's a narrow pathway next to some Note Blocks, and the only way into that path is by falling down and trying to avoid the Note Blocks, you will get "sucked" onto a Note Block. The animation for the effect is also kinda slow. For example, when you're in a tank and you drop a bomb, the explosion effect skyrockets down to the ground after breaking the rock underneath when it should stay in place and not move anywhere. Not a lot that really affect gameplay per say, but they just look weird. There are a few bugs here and there that I've come across. Well executed, and actually deserving of the elusive 10/10. I'm sorry, this game is so amazing and original and nearly perfect in every way it seems like it really should be. Is this an actual Nintendo game? *checks* OH, it isn't. Play this, I don't care if you don't like 8-bit or not, just try this out. Dimensions is a prime example of what an engine-based game should be like, with a fun gimmick, unique storyline, and terrific level design. This is, without a doubt, well worth your time. I was delightfully surprised to see that underneath the poor art decisions and somewhat generic title "dimensions", was a commendable Mario platformer with a very well thought out mechanic.Ī fantastic game and sequel to my favorite Mario game of all time, and one of my favorite games in general. don't only take my word for it, play for yourself. To summarise this is a great fan game I will most likely play over and over again. LangtonLion64 puts his talent to the next level as he does a Drag Engine 7-based game with excellent graphics, sound, and design. I hope a member of Nintendo sees this awesome game, and recommends to own this game, ha ha. Overall, this is one of the best games on MFGG. This is better than Super Mario Bros 3 by Nintendo. It might be hard at times, but the game is worth playing. The gameplay feels great, the graphics are appealing to the eye, the sound is awesome and there's a ton of stuff to do. If you loved the classic Mario games, this game is definitly at least worth a try. forget that! it's Gib's recommended!Ī must-play tribute to the Super Mario Bros. Overall the game's fantastic, it's just that Langton didn't have much ideas or new enemies on hand. The game is one another game that's one of the best on the site, this is a MUST PLAY on MFGG.
